Morris Wilson Music

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Morris has been singing for as long as he can remember.  A graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore county and the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, Morris spent 30 years in various executive management positions in corporate America.  Having recently retired, he has realized his singing, once a heartfelt hobby, is now an avocation he cannot escape.  "Music and singing," says Morris, "plays a major part in defining who I am."

With private musical study early in his life, Morris sought the guidance of seasoned musicians and instructors as an adult.  Inspired primarily by premiere  jazz and R&B vocalists Such as Sarah Vaughan,  Aretha Franklin, Lou Rawls, and Donny Hathaway, Morris worked diligently to create his own style and sound.  As a young child, Morris would spend hours listening to his favorites and now as a professional performer has incorporated these influences to recreate an era gone by.  Although he performs a variety of styles including pop and gospel, recent years has found jazz and R&B to be his genres of choice.

Over the past 30 years, Morris has performed on stages throughout the Baltimore Washington area including the Eubie Blake Cultural Arts Center, Spike and Charlie's, The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland, and the Bowie State University Performing Arts Center.

He is excited about enhancing your events with his unique style of music.
